Elderly Behavioral Wellness Services (EBWS) is a non-profit organization that provides support to older adults and individuals with chronic physical and mental conditions. Through our extensive work and long-standing collaboration with various organizations in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, EBWS has succeeded in creating a comprehensive network of services and support for our older adults, their families and their caregivers, whether they reside at home or in Long-Term Care facilities. Our aim is to make life’s transitions easier and emotionally safe. We treat everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve!
Our Services
Aging successfully means maintaining Vitality, a sense of Connectedness and Meaning. At EBWS, we work with older adults, their families and caregivers to provide guidance, empowerment, and a daily regimen for Successful Aging. To us, health is the platform that our entire life is built upon: from our physical health to our sense of self-worth and emotional wellbeing.
Health & Wellness services
At EBWS, we offer our wellness services at our offices, at Long-Term Care facilities (Assisted & Independent Living facilities), Rehabilitation Centers and Nursing Homes, as well as in-home for the individuals who might have accessibility issues or difficulty traveling.
Caring for a loved one is rarely an individual’s affair; the immediate family is frequently deeply affected in complex and sensitive ways; different and seemingly conflicting needs may be at play and will need to be expressed and negotiated, whether they are financial, emotional, time-availability related, physical health needs, etc.
At EBWS we offer a variety of psychological and cognitive assessments, most commonly Dementia assessments and Competency assessments. Cognitive assessments are particularly useful when we are trying to assess an individual’s current cognitive functioning or determine the extent of the neuro-cognitive limitations that an individual is experiencing.

Caregiver Support
Many seniors rate their relationship with their caregivers as one of their most important relationship. Whether the caregiver is a family member or a professional, caregivers may sometimes experience great stress, as they may feel that they lack the knowledge ...
Group therapy is a unique way to deepen our understanding of ourselves and our interactions with other people, in a safe, supportive environment. Groups for older adults are meant to provide a safe emotionally and collaborative setting where older adults can help and support one other as everyone works towards their unique goals.
Reaching out to our communities and shedding light to common “aging myths” is the key to making sure that our elders, as well as we start viewing aging as a normal and vibrant part of life.

Testimonials
"It's Friday at eleven and we're talking of changes to make life better and learning to help each other. Everyone has thoughts they are trying to forget, and learning how to let go. For some it is easy, but others find it hard to go with the flow. Coming to groups helps most people ease their every day ways. Some are quick achievers and make progress every day. Time to stop talking; let's start walking and let EBWS show us the way!"
